James Russell: Buried Alive on the Racecourse

Of all the short films I’ve ever done James Russell: Buried Alive on the Racecourse has been the most successful. If you can determine success by the fact that in the almost four years since it was put on YouTube it has been watched almost 11,500 times and received a WHOPPING 45 comments, it is however my lowest rated video.

I’ve always loved how this epic stunt, better than anything David Blaine has done, performed by my friend, housemate, bandmate, Day of Pub™ co-creator has caused such lengthy and at times idiotic discussion on YouTube. Having had a quick glance at my Clowns Ate My Monkey account on YouTube I realised I’d made a lot of films I’d forgotten about and hadn’t posted on here. I really thought this deserved to be, mainly due to the awesome feat performed by James as he lived in a grassy tomb for weeks.

dmb2515: hmm doubt he did that…there would be a lot of people watching and when he came out he jumped up like he was down there for 5 mins 21 days of laying there would make your? legs weak and the sun would burn your eyes….unrealistic

koooool34: omg its fake i mean you say difretn days but when you do your stuff are in the same spot and when you say “get up” he gets right up and smiles and dosn’t even at like he has been buried which he hasn’t its all fake he could’nt stay still for 3 weeks and stay like that for the whole night for 3 weeks? Spraggiejnr: fake becuase? on loads of the clips the smae things are next to him everyday in the same position and its the same weather. if you look there are like 5 things next to him everytime

Jgbo25: if he went for 3-5 days? he could die from dehydration, hunger, or hypothermia depending on conditions
