another week and another post

So this week I have spent money.  On top of the dough I spent on Elbow tickets last week, this week I bought Bill Bailey tickets and a new portable hard drive.  It’s nice to have money and it’s nice not to have swine flu.

This weekend I watched Gomorrah, it was a good film about Italian gangsters and had a feel of City of God about it.  I think I need to watch it again.  I have a REAL need to watch a Werner Herzog film or maybe even just stick The Seventh Seal on.  The Herzog film I’m thinking of is The Wild Blue Yonder, which just sounds like a real feast having been made mostly from NASA footage.

I have little else to say, but if someone can recommend somewhere to stay in Oxford.  That would be nice.

Saturday Morning time for a bowl of Sugar Puffs

This week I wore contact lenses for most of days.  That was a new and exciting experience, just the having Honey Nut Cheerios for the first time.  I had only one failure when I rubbed my eye too hard on Thursday and the lens got stuck in the corner of my eye.  I may wear them today but seeing as I’m still in bed there really isn’t much point.

I have never been so excited about May Day but this year I got an extra day at the weekend.  Even better the sun is shining outside, so I can go and feel in ill the sun rather than my bedroom.

Considering I’m trying to save money I have spent plenty this week.  A couple of DVDs and a Hitchcock boxset for only £20 at HMV and a whole load of oney on tickets to see Elbow in Manchester in September 18, which should be good..

I feel like I should say something about Swine Flu.  I don’t care.

AND finally, I forgot just how good Duran Duran’s album ‘Rio’ is.  Listen to it.
